Communicating Scientific Research 2022 - open for applications
For more than 15 years Simula has offered the Communicating Scientific Research (CSR) course, a PhD level course on how to efficiently communicate science and technology to peers, decision makers, and the general public. The CSR course is an important part of Simula's work in helping to train early career researchers in science communication, one of the most important skills in an academic as well as a non-academic career. Whenever possible, we strive to recruit participants from different disciplines and universities from all over Norway in order to promote interdisciplinary and interinstitutional networking.
The CSR course is taught at Simula’s premises (Kristian Augusts gate 23 in downtown Oslo) by internationally leading experts and spans two intensive weeks, one in the autumn semester (Oct 9-13) and one in the spring semester (Sept 26-30). The course is free for all participants; however, any travel and accommodation expenses must be covered by the participants. The language of instruction is English.
Both PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows are welcome to apply for the course. In the event of more applicants than available seats, PhD candidates that have the course as part of their educational component will be prioritized.
The course is now open for application. Deadline: August 31.
